As I have mentioned previously on this blog, clean water for the world is an issue that I am passionate about. In the twenty-first century the reality of 1 billion people without access to clean water is unacceptable. To that end, I do my best to help my students to become aware of the problem and to educate them about organizations that are working towards solutions. Every semester my Earth Science class puts together "pitches" where the sell a clean water organization to the class. The winning presentation (as voted by the class) gets extra credit and money donated to their organization.
This semester's winning team was Adriel Holland and Jarrett Tharington, representing Blood Water Mission. Their presentation included a beautiful Glog, which you can view below, and a challenge to give up all drinks other than water during the Lent season.
If Jarrett and Adriel's work so moves you, consider making a donation to this fantastic organization.
