Ask any of my students what happens in Mr. Kite's class and I am positive that many of them will mention something about projects. It's true, we do a lot of projects. I don't know if there is any better way to get students to apply the knowledge they have gained in the classroom than to launch them out and tell them to create something. If you saw the week in review from Mohammand and Ashley, you know that last week we were talking about genetics in Honors Biology.
The project for this unit was for students to create a pedigree of their family. Choose a disease and track it through the family. Then write up some basic information about their chosen disease. Many of the students did quite well. There were, however, two projects that I would like to highlight in this post. Enjoy!
