Teaching AP Biology this semester has been a bit difficult. The course is intended to be taught over the course of a year. My valiant students are doing it in a semester. At the moment I am pretty sure they are the smartest crop of AP Biology students that I have had. One of the challenges of AP Biology is finding ways to allow the students space to be creative, because, let's face it, Biology can be a dry topic.
Recently I gave the students a project in which they were to create Prezi that outlines an analogy of their choosing. The analogy was to relate the various organelles of the cell to some structure or organization. All of the projects were good, however, there are two that I would like to highlight and share.
